Hi, there. We're Twisted Stitch.

We launched in March 2025 and have been working hard to create embroidered pieces that are both stylish and practical. We encourage you to visit often, as we’ll have more great items coming soon.

Sharon Peck-Reid

OWNER / OPERATOR

For the past 17 years I have been working at McMaster Univeristy as a Research Assistant. Previously I was part owner of 4effect.ca, worked at Fuji Film Canada, the Architectural Association in London England, and Fanshawe College.

My education includes a 3 year photography diploma, with a major in commercial photography, Ontario Small Business Management, Business Administration, and Project Management.

I have completed Adobe Creative Cloud course work in PhotoShop, Illustrator, Character Animator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and InDesign.

I started embroidery by accident and was hooked immediately. I have completed the Hatch Digitization courses and will continue to refine my skills.

DIGITAL MARKETING

I enjoy working with businesses and optimizing their digital marketing efforts. As online marketing evolves I enjoy keeping up with the changes and employing leading edge marketing techniques. Over the past year, I have been trying to keep up with AI and using it to build apps, AI assistants and create digital marketing plans for clients. I have also continued to work on desktop publishing projects as I have for close to 30 years now (crazy).

Susan Millman

Seamstress

Susan started sewing as a preteen, and was limited to making pyjamas. Lots and lots of pyjamas. Guided by her mother’s skill and teaching, she eventually graduated beyond pyjamas and made most of her own clothes through high school and the early adult years. Following graduations from Trent University (PoliSci) and Sheridan College (Interior Design), Susan worked in the fields of design and architecture, finance, and the public sector, including McMaster University since 2015. Seeing sewing projects take shape and come together provides a relaxing creative outlet for Susan, and she looks forward to creating something for you!
